In this module, we had to investigate tensegrity structures and environmental drivers in their interdisciplinary exchange.
The task was to develop a glass façade to determine an optimum set of solar radiation reaction control methods and still retain visible transmittance, through the glazed facade that can give energy saving by day lighting controls. Also to review case studies and literature to determine best practice to progress our own vision, to obtain desirable range of performance values in connection to building location and orientation of the façade.
Shading of solar radiation reduces glare within building interior spaces. Exterior elements partially shield occupants view of the bright sky, as well as direct sun. Screens, glazing treatm- ents and shades reduce brightness of the window. Exterior elements reduce this contrast.
